Useful Windows Shortcuts

OS

Alt + Print Screen: Make a screenshot of the active WINDOW only (when you are using multiple screens). Note that this shortcut also works in Linux Mint.

Shift + Win + Right/Left: Move the active window to the monitor/screen on the right/left.

Win + Home: Clear all but the active window.

Win + Space: All windows become transparent so you can see through to the desktop.

Win + Up: Maximize the active window.

Shift + Win + Up: Maximize the active window vertically.

Win + Down: Minimize the window/Restore the window if it's maximized.

Win + Left/Right: Dock the window to each side of the monitor.

Win + L: Lock Windows.

Shift + Win + Left/Right: Move the window to the monitor on the left or right.

Shift + Right Click (file/folder): select "copy as path" to copy the full path of the file/folder.

Outlook

Ctrl + Scroll: Zoom in/out the email message.

Word

  1. Alt + = inserts an equation in Word.
